Perceive Studios is where our ideas become real. The place where we try things, make mistakes, make changes and turn a design into something you can actually wear. Every piece passes through our hands here in The Hague.
It started with a wooden board.
When Perceive first started, our printing setup was nothing more than a screen screwed onto a wooden board with a pair of hinges. That was how we made our very first Classic Tees.
We've come a long way since then. Today we work with a proper screen-printing setup, but the idea hasn't changed: learn how to make it ourselves and keep improving with every print.
From an idea to a real piece.
What I love most is watching an idea become a finished garment. Keeping printing in-house means we can experiment, adjust a graphic, test different techniques and work on the details until everything feels right.
Not every test works the first time. Sometimes a print needs changing or a technique takes a few attempts to get right. That's part of it. Every drop teaches us something new.
In our hands, down to the details.
We screen print our garments in our studio in The Hague, sew in the labels and add distressing or faded finishes whenever a design calls for them. Before a piece leaves, we check the result ourselves.
That direct involvement matters. It lets us pay attention to the smallest things and make sure the final piece feels like something we truly stand behind.
Always learning. Always making.
Working in small runs and printing pieces as they're needed gives us more control over what we make. We don't want to produce piles of clothing just for the sake of it.
Instead, we use each new release to experiment and improve. The studio keeps changing, and so does Perceive. That's exactly how we want it.
